Official Quirk Life product from NQC Drop. Ask anybody from New York what the state bird is and half of them will say pigeon. It is not. Nobody cares. This one is standing on a wire holding a slice bigger than its own head, halo included, and that is about as accurate a portrait of the city as we could manage. Built on a five panel cotton twill body with a flat, structured front and a pre-curved brim. The unstructured back panels give it a relaxed shape that sits close instead of sitting high, and the snapback closure means it fits whoever grabs it. The pigeon is fully embroidered, not printed. Every color is stitched into the panel, which means the graphic has real texture to it and will not crack, peel, or fade the way a print eventually does. It is the slower, more expensive way to decorate a hat and it is the reason this one will still look right in five years. The khaki body was picked to let the artwork run warm. Cream, teal and burnt orange stitched into neutral twill, with enough detail in the wings and the crust that people will get close enough to look.
